It has challenged the best healthcare systems of the world due to the nonavailability of any specific treatment and high infectivity, virulence, and case-fatality. The medical systems in India are broadly divided into two categories — the modern medicine system and the Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) systems. Along with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the Ministry of Ayush has also taken several initiatives for strengthening the fight against Covid in India from the beginning of the pandemic. The various States and Union Territories (UTs) have adopted many practices and done many innovations. The current compendium is an attempt to document these practices/innovations. This compendium is based on the information received from different States/UTs. The Ayush-based practices described in this compendium may be adopted, adapted, replicated, or customized as per need by the States/UTs and may be planned for scale-up in respective contexts, building on these practices and learning.
